The $1300 was with one of the smaller companies. I've just checked again. It seems it's cheaper to book from UK, but they'll only qoute 28 days on net. Yes car hire is £600 for a full size.

That's interesting. I couldn't find proper long-term car hire on the net. Did you negotiate in the UK or direct with the US?

Extend for 6 months at the end of the first 6. Already talked it through at US embassy. I'm going out there to invest in business and then get an E2 visa.
