Dare I say it, I HATED english fish and chips when I first got to the UK. In time I began to quite like it - especialy with a pickle and also curry sauce!

We actually tried the Birkdale restaurant a few weeks ago (drove 45 mins to get there!). Unfortunatley both our meals weren't very nice - didn't have much flavour...

My hubby was a smoker (10 a day) and passed just fine. He too quit during the move over here- he bought his allowance of duty free's, smoked them and hasn't touched one since.

I'm pretty sure you can. You won't need to re-take the driving test here - if in QLD I know you only have to take the written theory test which is a piece of piss.

My husband had a full/open UK licence and on arrival into QLD a year ago had to complete a theory test to obtain his full/open QLD licence (he didn't have to take the driving test though!).

I put each catergory of evidence in a labelled plastic pocket. I don't think they really care - they'd tell you do's and don'ts otherwise.

We had 70 copies certified at our local Magistrate's court for £8 total. They had a stamp which said 'I certify this is a true copy' - we stamped up everything in advance, then 2 JP's sat for half...

You definitely need 2 or more Form 888's - I got 3 for our spouse visa - one from my step-mum and the others from close friends.

It wouldn't hurt to get additional Stat Decs from people in Oz -...
