Hornsby and the surrounding areas are great. 90 mins to get to the Hunter valley, 20 mins to get to Brooklyn and the nearest ocean beach is 35 mins. Bush is nearby, long walks down by Berowra waters...

they don't do a credit check as you may expect as they're not going to lend you any money. They need the info to make sure your not going to launder money through them out of the UK. I've not heard...

If you hire a car you can get one fitted for a small fee. That was our concern when we landed was what to do with the baby. Car seat was supplied and fitted by Hertz. Then bought one from a baby shop

If you go into a few of the electronic / computer shops, there's a few wirless broadband kits out. They work well and you can take them wherever there is coverge, including the beach. :)
