You just need to prove you have a ticket out of the USA. Canada is another country, for the moment anyway! If he doesnt use the ticket the airline will refund it less an admin fee. He would be better...

I ship gear from Charleston to Felixstowe. Door to door three weeks if it isnt held up by customs, so you would assume it would be the same in reverse.

If you want cheap consider flying into Seattle and renting a car or taking the Quick shuttle Bus, if you want really cheap, Iceland air fly from Heathrow & Glasgow via Reykjavik to Seattle. More...

There is no dishonesty involved, it’s a merely using the SA Immigration Law as written. I do however feel it’s a loop hole that needs to be addressed.
