Thank you all.
It would appear that my liabilities lay mainly for the US reporting.

Can anyone recommend a good UK/US CPA or advisor for this and then other potential UK/US inheritance planning....

Sir Eccles - my brother is not living in the house. It is not a primary residence. It was gifted apx 1.5yrs ago and has remained empty on the open market. Sales is due to...

Hi

I will be receiving over $50k of inheritance from a family members estate.

1 Will the amount be subject to us taxes?

What could I do to avoid CGT if we decided to sell the house AFTER a 2 year period - whilst still in the States or in UK?
