What's controversial about seeing a Pakistani-origin doctor? I don't care what colour my doctor's skin is. It's where/how s/he trained that interests me, and I am somewhat disturbed by your comment.

I do hope your theory is wrong, although fear it might be right. I have many doctor friends in the UK. Not a single one went into the profession for the money (they'd be mad to do so in Britain)....

Yes and yes, in my humble opinion, when we're talking about GPs. Also trained to listen to and fully examine patient, rather than simply send patient away for endless time-consuming, inconclusive,...

Probably a long shot, but anyone know of, or know how to find, a British-trained (or Australian/Kiwi-trained) GP in or around San Francisco? Fed up with the American variety. Many thanks.
