thanks for the replies, I think going with the 189 is the best option then. Just wondered if their were any other options, sounds like there isnt. The 186 looks like a fairly painless option.

Thats what I am thinking but was wondering if there are any 'pathways'.

I have read on here that when you apply for perm residency you can get a medicare card. This should save me paying the 250...

Hi All

I am currently on the 461 visa, I arrived here with my partner who is a kiwi on the 457 visa in 2007, did that for 2.5 yrs they changed to the 461.

I work as a nurse.

1 cheaper, in NZ medical around $45 and $65 for xray

ive been quoted 120 pounds and 75 pounds for xray the 90 pounds for blood test.

yeah could be a new job, dealing with peeps bosses. like the first wives club only different. definately wanna dump on my bosses desk though, would feel soo good leaving a steaming dump on the desk....

hey thanks, but it was easy, the hard stuff is the EOI and the perm residence applications.

yeah got me job already sorted, also am saving sme cash. Was doing my perm residence from the UK but found out cost of medical was £120, xray£75 bloods £90. I asked the embassy in london...

'the holder may travel to NZ and on application may be granted a permit for/to 30 sep/2006'

also states must not arrive after...

i applied for and recieved my work visa stickered passports within 3 days, its insanely quick.

chase your passports NZ Govt seem well quick, or they have in my situation

think its too early to speculate, on a tourist bus it wouldbe easy to drop a bomb off under a seat or something, so it might not be a suicide bomber, will have to see what happens.

well yeah agree with earlier posts, it does give you flexibility having perm residency, but unless the job is a nightmare which i doubt it will i will be in for the job for the year contract. and...

hey thanks yeah i hope so, i always find form filling a confusing thing, geneva health have been great though (plug plug) well helpful and nice ladies there too.
