Sorry - you are quite right, my post did sound rude! I did not mean to offend.

The question about smoking was a legit one however - I was a smoker and it added at least $80 per week to my grocery...

Apart from probably being able to drop the grocery bill by about $100 per week, I agree with Rascal on this estimate in the Auckland area. Most NZ'ers rely on both parents working - must be different...
