flights for the dog, 37lb in weight, was about $1200 flight including the handling by the company united use.
there were also the vet fees that made sure he would be allowed back, that was about $200

I was in the US for about 3 years, loved it but also really missed UK, my wife hated it and made us come home so I never really made my own mind up on moving back, she had her own reasons for coming...

I think another thing that does not help is working from home self employed, its like the movie ground hog day, but on the other hand it allows me to look after my son as we are pretty much alone....

yeah i could do that, my visa only runs to end of 2009 so i could jump ship then if i wanted to, mind you they filed for Green Cards after i had only been there 6 months back in 2004.

It is tough, moved to Wisonsin in 2003 with my Wife and 8 year old son, she had brother and SIL in town to but she could never settle, she also had an older son back in the UK who ended up in prison...
