Looked at the website https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/Processtimes.jsp?SeviceCenter=NSC and saw that they are currently processing I-485's that were filed in July 2007. I applied 9 months after that...

Was just teasing - they've been good to me on the whole although I do have to pay all the filing/application fees (they cover the legal fees, luckily as I was told it would be over $10K).

My mistake - L1-B visa: 3yrs to start with, with one increment of up to 2 yrs (so 5yrs in total).

Just phoned Equifax in the US and they said that it is not possible to do as the way that credit-scores are calculated in the 2 countries differs, thus making a score non-transferable.
