No, only ever tried to get a tourist visa, which is what has only ever been needed, and was granted. It had expired, hence the want to renew it for a 2 week family holiday.

No he isn’t self employed. He’s lived in the UK all his life, full time employed, mortgage, married, young children…

They are not part of them forum, but details for the tracker are B1/2 visa, London, not the first time, interview 17th July, email received 15th May. Passport sent 16th May.

I was 2022 as well last time. I started this process in March 2024 .. and still don’t have an answer. Let’s hope they given a visa that is more than 12 months … otherwise it doesn’t leave you...
