Rather than a fee to enter the UK, I'd rather look at it as $10 to leave the US - which is looking like more and more of a bargain.

I don't wish to appear rude, but you say you're clueless yet you've been in the US for 4 years, and got a green card, which I know from experience requires a long and complex process to acquire.

How do you KNOW it's not a big problem? Have you tried it? Surely when you present your US passport at check-in, they will check for an ETA associated with that passport?
