Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

Thanks. Heard some people's experiences were far worse than that, phones being taken, being held up for hours on end and all sorts. Sounds like you've had a far better experience so I'll hope for the...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

Planning to use my first Visa for our first ever trip to the states next month. Going to make sure I take printed details of my hotel booking and return flight, is there any other documentation I...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

Received it today and surprised to find they've granted me one for 5 years. Good luck to everyone still waiting.

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

Thanks. Yeah I was fully expecting a refusal because as you say there seemed to be a period where everyone was getting refused including people who'd had multiple waivers before. Something seems to...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

Status was changed to 'Issued' today.

Just goes to show folks, although it's clearly more difficult to get a waiver now, it's still possible so don't give up hope.

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

Sent in my passport on 22/10 and just checked and noticed my status was been changed from ‘Refused’ to ‘Approved’ today. Seems I’m at the final step now so fingers crossed for an...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

The duration of your application doesn't appear to have much if any bearing on the likelihood of success. Some here have waited a very long time only to get an email refusing their application on the...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

If you’ve had the email asking for your passport for adjudication all you need to do is print out the ‘courier in’ instructions that will be attached to your email. Then take that and your...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

For reference, if anyone is fortunate enough to be asked to send their passport in and the courier return address is out of date, a quick email to [email protected] will get your application...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

Well it does sound hopeful but not getting my hopes up quite yet. Will let you know when I've posted my passport, but need to figure out how to get them to change the courier return address they have...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

Finally got some contact from the consulate today, seems they want me to send my passport in for 'adjudication'. Unsure if I should read this as good news or not but at least it means my wait seems...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

I was there the day after you, 9 months they told me, should have known it would be longer than that. Quite the wait for a refusal isn't it? I've pretty much given up on it now apart from checking in...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

You’re right, usually it means past conviction(s) have been stepped down. Frustrating because ACRO are deliberately tipping off the fact you have a record even though it has been deemed old enough...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

These are valid points but it's frustrating when we had little to no opportunity evidence these ties. It's not like the consulate officer would accept or even read anything, or give us any...

Well he wouldn’t be in the minority within this thread now would he, and you’re here too and presumably because you needed a waiver yourself!

Like it or not, the current office have changed...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

Had my interview back in October, no updates since and it's still showing as refused. if I'm honest we're fully expecting a refusal, as that's all they seem to be doing right now but if by some small...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

London’s so far behind now it’s ridiculous and if that wasn’t bad enough we’re now more likely to get a refusal than ever. Not going to go through this crap again, it’s a monumental waste...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

Aren’t we all, we can only hope he doesn’t make this process any harder than it already is. But ultimately, if they don’t want to grant a VISA it’s not the end of the world for tourists like...

I took a recent ACRO police certificate together with the covering letter and attached sheet that included details of the offences that been stepped down...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

Hi.

Had my interview in London on 4/10/24 for a B1/B2 visa and was told I was inadmissible due to CMT but as my crimes were not serious and they occurred 30 years ago they were recommending a...
