Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

I see. I also realized getting an interview slot immediately after a rejection is very tough, and in some cases impossible within 6 months of a visa refusal. I will firmly stick to my Plan B and let...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

My classes start from August. Even if I manage to schedule my visa interview this month (for the same visa class with some additional documents), I will only have 4 months for the waiver to be...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

Thanks jools. The worst part is waiting for a year and then being rejected for a 214(b) - a box that you are supposed to tick before being recommended for a waiver. Unfortunately, such an incident is...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

Hello everyone,

Received an email today morning stating that my visa has been denied under 214(b). I will probably never know whether my waiver was ever approved by the CBP. But given what the...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

Is anyone aware about changes to CEAC status once a decision on the waiver is made? My visa case was created on 22/04/24, had my interview on 26/04/24, and had the waiver recommended on 29/04/24....

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

Nothing I am afraid. I followed up this week with the embassy and received a standard “under review” response.

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

Really feel for you E2LondonMarch24 . I have not heard anything from the consulate after submitting the required documents, and I only have this coming week to make a decision. I really wished the...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

I agree with jools - exclusion should be something along the lines of a forced removal or deportation. Actually, New Zealand also has a waiver program in place depending on the type of offence. For...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

I just received an email from my consulate requesting further information. This is what the email read:

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

Need all the prayers and luck I can get. I am waiting for a student visa (F1) but the uncertainty forced me to seek alternatives. I have another funded offer of admission from a different country...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

It seems like jools had the longest wait time of 328 days in this group. I have not heard of wait times of over a year in other forums or reddit yet, but the sample size is rather small.

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

Congratulations! Seems like you received the email right on cue. Good thing is that we know the ARO is active. Bad thing is that my wait is heading towards unexplored territories…

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

In that case, the most plausible explanation for the delay could be the revision of the Foreign Affairs Manual, which may have disrupted regular ARO activities the last 3 weeks. This is the most...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

Maybe it will slow down first before it speeds up. But with layoffs and reshuffles, offices may end up with inexperienced and overworked staff...don't think that will increase efficiency...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

I have not found any correlation unfortunately, but with Elon Musk at the helm causing confusion, things are bound to slow down in federal offices. The ARO will not be out of it unfortunately. But I...
