Re: Buying a car

Good reply, thanks. To get to the point of permesso di soggiorno doesn't it? Like maybe a year, given that the elective visa can also take months on end. I guess, seeing as we'll need a car from day...

Re: Purchased life annuity

Geordieborn (javascript:void(0)) see my original question. HMRC only tax on interest earned part of income from a life purchased annuity. Do Italy treat this income in the same way?

Re: Purchased life annuity

Yeah, know all what you have said, thanks. Swings and roundabouts with tax, but understand the net tax take in Italy is greater than in the UK. Put it out there for if anyone has the same type of...

Lexidy

Anyone used lexidy services to help with visa, property purchase and/or tax assistance in Italy? Reviews are good, just wondering if fees are high or worth it?

Re: Purchased life annuity

Thanks for reply. Yeah, understand the double taxation issue, it was more about the issue of how Italy treats this type of annuity income I was asking about, if anyone has similar product already...

Purchased life annuity

Before making the move to Italy we will be investing some cash savings in a purchased life annuity. HMRC only tax on the interest paid element of the monthly income this produces as a large portion...

Re: Italian tax

Obviously, to qualify for the elective visa, as a married couple, we need to prove an income of at least €38000, which we can, so we would be required to submit a tax return, however a substantial...
