I am going to have to disagree with you, I have been traveling to La Palma for the last 15 yrs, I have never heard them speak anything but proper Spanish. Nor have I ever heard them say “bueno día”...

My mistake I should have said Castellano but I also speak Catalan. The canary islands have an accent but not really a dialect they speak Andalucian Spanish which is just Castillian Spanish.

Currently living in US but plan to move to the Canary Islands, specifically La Palma in the next 3 years any advice you care to give or any existing English groups on the island...
