I actually already visited Sydney in June 2002 :) , it was my "rekky" before deciding to apply for the visa, so no problems of "rose-tinted glasses", here ;). This is something that has been growing...

If they do decide to increase the residence time to 4 years, I do hope they do like New Zealand: for PRs before "such date" is still 2 years, for PRs after such date is 4 years... at least people who...

I'm from Italy and here people would want to buy rather than rent, actually. The reason is that once you own your house, nobody will kick you out. But houses are incredibly expensive, Sydney prices...
