Thanks Dreamo, yes, based on what i have been told now by few ransporters i should not pay any tax. I am not under any deadlines , so can wait if needs be.

For me it wasn't the problem of the extra £25, which would be understandable. But the not so negligible fees for the customs on both customs side sides, surely mine would be...

I got in touch with the company you suggested and they quoted me much more, it was £575 for the bike only, and then some £350 more for both customs clearance , plus that he said i would...

How much did you pay for the transport, and I imagine you will pay VAT when importing your bike too?
My bike is not too expensive and I really need to weigh all these costs before...
