Man! I’m kind of angry and worried about this new terror threat. Wife’s coming back home on the 12th. The last leg of her journey will be from LHR to IAD.

I know that she’ll have to fill out the...

OT: Gas prices and possible solution?!

Today, I got this email from [email protected] with the header "Gas War is On". I really don't care about the chain-mails. But the idea seems nice. Will it work or not, I don't know. Just wanted...

Re: OT-Visitors from the UK for 8 weeks! OMG

Yeah! We’re from the East. So, a joint family is the norm (mom, dad, son, daughter, daughter-in-law under the same roof …. Normal). But my parents let an ungrateful relative stay in our house once...

Finally, the end of a 2-year-long journey (from I-130 to today)!!! Yesterday, three letters came from CIS. Two were NOAs that said that our case has been approved and a card will be mailed soon. And...

Finally the end in sight! Our AOS case

It's been a long time since I posted here last - mainly because after our May 19th (2005) interview, there was no news about our AOS case from Baltimore. A few months ago we had made an INFOPASS...

Hi all –

My wife’s EAD will expire on Jan 7 2006. How soon do you think we should apply for the renewal? Is there any restriction as to when you can send in the renewal application? I figure...

Re: FBI Namecheck

Any chance of you having that precious email address? :) Is it:

[email protected]

Also, what type of information (A#, name, DOB ....) do they need on that email?
Thanks.

Re: FBI Namecheck

Hi all -

Since we are talking about namechecks :D, I'm guessing a "fingerprint result" and a "namecheck result" are 2 different things, right? It's because last week I called the FBI and they said...

Want to enquire about your fingerprints? FBI Phone number :)

Folks!

I know that I had posted a link previously with local CIS phone numbers which turned out to be a little too outdated :) Sorry ..... didn't mean to.

But I just found another phone number...

Re: My Naturalization Interview Exerience Report

CONGRATULATIONS! Just shows how wrong the online processing times are. The webpage for Baltimore shows July 7, 2004 as their processing time, and you filed your N-400 on Feb 7, 2005!

Good job!...

Re: Confused about processing date on the web

Hey Jeff -

What happened is that the interviewing officer had our I-130 approval notice, but not the complete I-130 package from NVC (or VSC). So, she asked for a copy of the original I-130 that I...

Re: Using I-130 all the way even though K3

Sorry, my mistake - "status extension" not "visa extension".

But it does the same job, right? If his I-539 is approved, he is able to travel in and out of the U.S., just like a K3 visa holder...

Re: Confused about processing date on the web

Sorry Mr. Folinskyinla :) I had posted the details of my I-94 issue here earlier, but did not get a satisfactory answer. What happened is that the AOS interviewing officer kept my wife's I-94 after...

Re: Confused about processing date on the web

Actually that makes me feel a little better, because if I have moved beyond the scope of the processing times on the web, that means that we *may* not have to wait for 6 months. But then again it...

Re: Confused about processing date on the web

Hi Rene -

Sorry to confuse you. I'm concerned about the dates because I'm very impatient :D

But seriously, the main reason why I'm kind of worried (I mentioned it here before) is because my...

Re: Using I-130 all the way even though K3

Hi Ash -

I don't think your husband HAS to leave the US. You can apply for an extension of his K3 visa. I got the following info for you:

14.8)...My status as K3 is about to expire, and I am...

Hi all -

I'm a bit confused about the processing dates posted on the web. I know - --after going through my wife's K3, EAD etc., I should have learned not let them confuse me :)

Re: Don’t have I-94. What if emergency occurs?

Rete -

I'm kind of confused - even if she has a K3 (which is a multiple entry visa), she still needs AP (even when her K3 is still valid?)? I thought K3s don't need AP even after filing for AOS...

Don’t have I-94. What if emergency occurs?

Hi all -

You may know our story already - had our AOS interview on May 19, 2005 and still waiting for approval. I'm sure the approval will come, but I don't know when. After our AOS interview was...

Re: Aos Approved!!!!!

Linda -

You wouldn’t believe – but our AOS interview was also 0n 5-19-2005 and we would also have been approved right there if Baltimore had our I-130 at hand! As of today (June 19, 2005), no...

Re: Anyone wanna call their local CIS office? Phone numbers!

I admit - the authenticity of these numbers is questionable.

Another thing is - if the local offices wanted us to call them, they would have posted them in their respective web pages (under...
