IMO, this knee-jerk policy change by the interior minister is only temporary until a new govt takes over.
I won't be surprised if Muhyiddin's admin gets dissolved, and followed by a snap election...

I never know that the SMM2H visa is only for 5 years. However, it's still a good duration.

I just hope MY gov doesn't get too greedy by copying others like Thailand's Elite visa program.
$30K upfront fee (or ~$50K for family of two) for 10 yr visa will not sell...

No. I never want to contact MM2H staff people.
And the online system web link is not secured.
I communicate only with our MM2H agent; I trust them.

Applicants who were told that the program is canceled are likely part of those who were rejected.
For these unfortunate people, their agents should refund their down payments, or resubmit...
