Re: exchanging driving licence - where and when to make appointment?

The IMT office in Faro never answer the phone, I don't think.

They are also extremely unwilling to speak English and even unwilling to repeat what they said in Portuguese. The only time, in fact,...

Re: Financas contacting UK employers?

Many thanks for your input.

Re: Financas contacting UK employers?

That's what my accountant said, from the date of establishing tax residency (we rounded up the 13 days to cover the whole of December). But I guess we'll see what Financas say.

I'm currently still...

Re: New residence permits for Brits in Pt before 31/12/20

This is not done at the town hall anymore, unless you are an EU citizen. Otherwise you need to apply via the SEF website.

Re: So How Cold Is Cold?

Yeah, it's pretty good. Though you did miss the "wet stuff"!

Re: Shopping challenge

Veg and fruit are a whole lot more interesting down here - thanks for that, I've had my doubts in other respects  But the farmers' market here is a treat.... everything from peas, broad beans...

Re: "Working from home" for a UK company, in Portugal

Thanks. Looks like this may be easier to do when I eventually get back to the UK in a month or two? Does any solicitor do it?

How can I go about doing this, within Portugal?

I have provided them with all the required documentation from HMRC stating residency in...
