I believe they don't pay utilities and both the water and electricity have been turned off multiple times but the family appear to know how to circumvent this obstacle.

We have a family of okupados in our finca and occasionally the idea of trying to evict them officially crops up but someone always points out how difficult it would be. I think your story only...

I'm in Valencia. I find August difficult but mainly because I don't want to use the AC as I think it's too expensive. However, going outside during late July/August/early September is uncomfortable....

I would recommend Valencia as a large city with a beach but I believe that Alicante is better connected to the UK with more flights during the day and throughout the year

Is there any issue with having a "Non-Spanish" bank as your main bank account? I'm thinking of the Renta or just whenever you are asked to prove income etc
