Current situation is that I'm in the UK and my wife is stuck in Australia, we had just submitted our spouse visa application and had the biometrics scheduled...

Got the same email... We had just completed the application and had the biometrics appointment set for the following day then then it was cancelled.
So close... yet so far. And feels even...
