Re: Latest Experience on AOS - Timings

Thought I would share my recent experience of L1A to EB1C. Overall I was pleasantly surprised at how quick the process was.

Early December 2021: i-140 filed (did not file AOS concurrently,)...

Re: L1 visa interview timescales

Having personally gone through this process a couple of times now, the longest they ever take to respond was 10 days to confirm the NIE approval.

The first time we needed to get a visa approved...

Hi, I have personally gone through this experience in the last year. My Husband and I both had our L1A visa appointments just before the pandemic hit/ travel ban. I got my visa, but my husband did...

Re: Advice on L1A to EB1C GC - Do I need an attorney?

I get what you mean. This is simply a sign off issue for the funds. They have said they will fully support my paper work, and I have been in contact with their corporate lawyers too now. The odd part...

Re: Advice on L1A to EB1C GC - Do I need an attorney?

Thanks all for your messages so far. It has made it even more clear to me, that me covering the process myself is a unique one.

In short, to get the company to do their normal process, including...

Re: Advice on L1A to EB1C GC - Do I need an attorney?

Very well spotted! In fact I realise that I do not NEED an attorney. Which is why I wanted to ask if it was wise to do it without. I guess I was already leaning towards getting an attorney, this has...

Re: Advice on L1A to EB1C GC - Do I need an attorney?

As far as I have understood, they will be the petitioner. It is just that I am the one overseeing the whole process not them.

It is an odd situation and hence my wondering if anyone else had been...

Re: Advice on L1A to EB1C GC - Do I need an attorney?

I guess they are instigating it as they will file the I-140 form in support. It is just that I will cover costs.

I realise the "normal" process is exactly what you are saying, and from a company...

Re: Reciprocity fee for NIV processing HELP!

My husband had the same issue. We had to pay the fee in person at the embassy with a debit card. If you contact them, they will book an appointment for you to pay it. They gave us an 8am slot. My...

Re: Question on National Interest Exception and missing 30 day deadline to trave

Thanks! I think we are good then. I heard the 30 days started from the visa appointment, so 2 weeks are effectively lost waiting, but glad to hear that is not the case. Thanks for sharing this...

Re: H1 and L1 visas to be suspended by President.

Ooo I did not know that, I assumed the time was lost, so that is definitely useful to know. If and when I do make it.
