The last night out me and my husband had was over 2 years ago so I donā€™t think weā€™d be too phased by that šŸ˜‚ we donā€™t really drink either, just enjoy days out with the kids, nice holidays.

So even though the cost of living is higher, so your financially worse off, I take it the other things like out door lifestyle, good schools etc outweigh the fact that you havenā€™t got as much money...

Thanks, this is really good info. Iā€™m going to have to increase my working hours in NZ in order to get the visa, only do 22.5 at the moment.
How come pizzas so cheap?! Dominoes is at least Ā£20 over...

Thanks for all the info. Yeah I noticed houses prices for anything half decent is about $550 per week. If you work it out though itā€™s around Ā£1000 a month? Plus no council tax for rentals I believe? ...

He does do a bit of joinery/plumbing & block paving but his qualifications are in bricklaying and itā€™s what heā€™s used to. The other stuff he tends to do around our house or for family. Itā€™s difficult...

We live in the North West of UK so may find NZ more costly. I believe thereā€™s some building work in Tauranga but my worry is that Husband may not find as much work than in UK
