What would you do? 1 month without green card

Long story short:

Came to Germany for a 6 month internship with my car
Insurance provider gave 3 month green card to drive abroad
My green card expires 1 month before the insurance cover...

Also my worst case scenario in case I can't get insured again after 90 days is just to drive back home and leave the car there.

Thanks for the reply. Yes i got 90 days confirmed by the insurer. Though i got charged £86 which feels a bit scammy, thought it's supposed to be included in the insurance already. I will use the car...

i managed to get insurance for the first 3 months, but not sure what will happen afterwards. Maybe a British company will be able to insure me while I am abroad?
