I was under the impression as an LPR, I am not allowed to drive on my UK license in Texas for the first 90 days (I think that was the timeline). If I was here temporarily, I would be able to do this

I have managed to open a bank account without my SSN. Bank of America were very helpful. (My USC wife banks with Bank of America which helped us massively)

I was under this impression too.

What you say above is correct. My documents arrived in a courier bag. Inside the bag was my passport sealed seperately and the large white (do not open) envelope.
