Thanks Fred,

Yes for what I understand, all the documentation related to the model 720 and similar are related to pensions, dividends, and income over properties, but not about employment wages.

I have been checking Spanish forums and some of them suggest the path Fred James suggest (employed by UK company).

Others, suggest the self employed.

In that case, the Autonomo way with a fixed salary seems like the best option.

Lets imagine a salary of 30,000 pounds, your employer is actually paying 33014 pounds.

Hi EuroTrash,

Yes, this is possible but the the UK company will need to get a VAT number in Spain, and pay for a accountant ~400e month. So it becomes highly inefficient.

IR35 its a UK thing, meant to avoid employees being hired as a contractors (and thus avoiding paying higher taxes).

Thanks chslh66, thats why one Tax advisor in Spain told me, because there is no goods moving across borders. Would this change with Brexit? I'm hoping no!.

The autonomo way looks quite complicated too, since I guess that you would have to, on top of pay the IRPF + Social Security, the VAT(IVA) of the bill.
I am not an accountant so I am not sure about...

You are right chslh66, most of the information that I've gathered is about pensions or interests over property / bank accounts, no mention to wages.

Hi Fred, but Spanish Tax is higher than the UK tax, so there would be nothing to pay to the UK. I would then need to ask my company not to put me any tax code, then pay taxes in Spain and tell the UK...
