Moving back to the UK formalities

Hi
After a year we decided to move back to the UK for various reasons.
We came here on PR via EE on May last year and moving out end of June.
Are there any special formalities especially around...

Huh, yeah port Moody etc was places I was looking to stay as well. Don't mind traveling as I'm doing it now.
Indeed houses seems like a big problem. And what about rest of the aspects of life, can't...

Not dead set, will have to be realistic. You made all valid points which will consider carefully. All ultimately will depend on job market. Still got time to make a decision.

Would make more sense to look for housing in range of 1hr drive from centre. Im currently travelling to work about 40 min anyway so it's not a big deal. Or everything in Vancouver area is crazy...

Much appreciate for all the info and helpful insight.
I'm database developer so work mostly with databases (Oracle).
No particular reason for Vancouver was sounded like a good place...
