Patience young Jedi....that's all the advice I can offer as it took four months to get my passport and yes, the phone lines are always very buy but its worth persevering...Good Luck

We are looking long term, we hope to use it as a holiday home to begin with and look at relocating eventually, having moved back to the UK just before covid, life has been challenging...

LOL, Not many Brits or Kiwis....yes its a plus, both are lovely but we wouldn't own one:D
It is near Le Mans, which seems too busy for us, we want to start out with a holiday home and eventually...

money matters ?

We are attempting to get to grips with the financial situation in the UK.....in regards to using cash, credit cards and the like ?

Here in NZ we have eft-pos debit cards and wonder is it the same...

So here we are sitting in NZ and up until now its been home...since the the late 80s in fact.
Maybe its an age thing, but we now find the pull towards home is getting stronger...as there is little...
