If it wasn't granted then we would have to move back. A bigger concern for me would be losing my UK based job whilst being in Australia without the ability to work.

I work indirectly for Commonwealth Bank, so perhaps our stay could be treated as a business visit under a 600 visa. There is a high chance that I would meet with them at least once .

Ah yes, thats the main problem. What I mean is, can I enter the country on my own on a 417 then my wife and baby enter separately on a 600?

I'm hoping to move to Australia for a year at least, along with my pregnant wife (due December) and 2 year old.

I currently have a job that is handy for this sort of travel. I work 100% remotely...

It occurs to me that shipping my car with 3 or 4 suitcases inside would be a neat way to avoid the hassle of selling the car and high cost of having my possessions shipped.
