Doing research into Irish citizenship between 17 July 1956 and 30 June 1986. I have a few questions....

I had a chat with sable yesterday, they would of course not tell me the exact process but after the chat and asking for a quote, this is the verdict....

It's a SA criminal clearance certificate. It's not requested.
Add if you wish. Will assist with 'good character' checks.

I wouldn't bother doing that first. Will hold no value.
All my uk ancestry/lineage are deceased.
P.S I'm also South African.

I paid 80£ as it's a Consulate birth registration by entitlement.
If the Home Office requests a full fee from us, I would be shocked!

Been searching for many hours, the only thing I can think of is registration under section1(3) and argue the point it was not possible for me to register my son within 12 months due to the gender...

circumstances maternal grandfather, mother born SA, British by descent. Using Section 4L(1)(a) BNA challenging the gender...
