I had a chat with sable yesterday, they would of course not tell me the exact process but after the chat and asking for a quote, this is the verdict....

It's a SA criminal clearance certificate. It's not requested.
Add if you wish. Will assist with 'good character' checks.

I wouldn't bother doing that first. Will hold no value.
All my uk ancestry/lineage are deceased.
P.S I'm also South African.

I paid 80£ as it's a Consulate birth registration by entitlement.
If the Home Office requests a full fee from us, I would be shocked!

Been searching for many hours, the only thing I can think of is registration under section1(3) and argue the point it was not possible for me to register my son within 12 months due to the gender...
