Is it easy to transfer money from a NZ account to UK?

How does the healthcare system work over there for us immigrants?

I'll be on a 2 year work visa, with 1 wife (that's plenty of wives for me) and 2 kids age 8 and 5.

My job covers my healthcare...

Any idea how long I can drive on a UK licence? Is it easy enough to swap etc?

I googled it and just got loads of info about gap year driving.

It'll just be a holiday, same as if we went to America or somewhere else long haul, the only difference is the length of the flight.

And finance wise it's a holiday we only have to pay flights...

nicely put, we like an adventure wherever we live we will enjoy it, we have 1 weekend per month where we go somewhere nice for a day trip, we have nation trust membership so we're never short of...

I do like reading some of these posts, I reckon we will be able to do 4 weeks a year back over here for Christmas etc, I have family in Ireland, Spain and Australia, so generally we will all meet up...

Not focusing on why other people moved, more a general interest, i.e. we saw it as an adventure for sure, got some nice replies, it was general conversation with people who have done it.

My work limitations are mostly down to the fact that during my 25 year working life I have only ever done demolition, I wouldn't know how to do anything regardless of a visa lol:rofl:

Operations/project manager.

Thanks to your input I spoke with the the company doing the visas etrc yesterday, they have it all in hand and my employer is sending the contract of employment etc...

We might face the same issues, but then again it may be the best thing we ever did, there's only one way to find out.

What I do mean I wil always work in a major city, but I will not have commute...

Auckland is where the company is based so until we're settled it seemed like the obvious choice, the company I'm going to suggested hobsonville.

We decided we wanted out of our current lifestyle, we wanted our kids to grow up somewhere safer, less time commuting and more time as a family.

I've been offered work there a few times this time...
