Thanks very much for replys, as far as being my sponsor, i will be saving alot of the money to make the cash assets requirements, ( have a $70,000 target to reach ).

I have a mate of a mate who is in the law side of things in the US, he has advised not to back track any tax income ( ie tips )...

At the moment it looks like that is our game plan. Booking a cheapish trip out there for xmas, then the next time will be to marry. Apart from that its gonna be save save save. Thats for everyones...

As a second thought, as i have stated she is still legally married so does her ex's tax return have anything to do with her previous tax returns ( and this years ) as that was a joint household?....

When they look at salery do they look at just the past year or last 3 years? She has 3 young kids and has been caring for them most of it. She is only just thia past year starting to work part time...
