In your year of return to the UK you will fill in a tax return and you will claim split year treatment. There are conditions attached to this but if you are a long time expat it should be just fine...

It seems Netflix have got very good at the cat and mouse games. I do run Kodi on my laptop, but is a pain to use frankly and a lot of the content is awful quality, I find.

I have used the TV Player app but not very recently. Give it a try? Also, Mrs Bloggs has a Sky subscription so I guess Sky Go would be an option too.
