Getting a hifi system into USA from UK

Hi There,
Was wondering what the implications are in buying(£1750 ish) and bringing it over to USA for personal use.
Over here it's priced at $2999 plus taxes.
I will be staying for about 10 days...

Fair point. I honestly can't predict future :) hence contemplating here..
It would take a decade easily until my status becomes clear :(
Still inclined to take the risk.. this area(CO) is growing...

This calculator gives some perspective: Breaks even at 2 year mark.
a) Monthly Rent = 1600
b) Home Price = 565000
c) Downpayment = 5% [28250]
d) Mortgage rate = 5%
e) Property tax = 1.25%

Thanks for your frank suggestion. Want to crunch a few numbers and see what's the loss or will market appreciation makeup for any potential loss lets say if i sell after 2 years or so....a calculated...

Moved to US 3 months ago and struggled to get a car without good credit history.
