Looking forward to it! The purpose of the visit of course is to do a bit of scouting. I saw the north of the Lot et Garonne in September and will doubtless visit other areas before making my mind up....

Dyeing was always done with urine which triggered the process. Filthy work, I'm glad they've found a better way of doing it!

Update. I'm off to Lectoure on 25/06 for a week to have a quick scout around. The area looks nice on Google Maps 😂

Thanks for your reply. I've had a look at the Gers but fear it's too far from Bergerac airport (2 hours!) So I'll limit my searches to an area of 1 hour around Bergerac. I'll deal with the British...
