Re: 457 Visa - Do we need to notify of pregnancy?

Re: Huge increase in processing time for 457

Well, processing times are updated - back to 2-6 months, which I think is broadly where they were earlier in the year. Hopefully a good omen for anyone waiting on a decision!

Am I right in...

Re: Huge increase in processing time for 457

Thanks both.

It's certainly taken some time to get to this stage - a good 3 months+ for the employer to become an approved business (their previous approval had lapsed) and for the role...

Huge increase in processing time for 457

Hi there,

this isn't intended as a 'how long will my visa take' question, as I know nobody knows the answer to that.

Instead, I wondered if anyone had any views on what components are driving...

Re: What is considered the application date? (457 Visa)

Thanks as always Pollyana - I've asked our HR contact to clarify this (and have begun gathering all the info I'll need for the checks regardless - I've lived in several countries, so is no small...

What is considered the application date? (457 Visa)

Sorry for what probably sounds like an obvious question, but when applying for a 457 visa, what is considered the point at which the application is made?

Is it the point the sponsoring employer...

Hi, pending the issuance of a 457 visa, work have booked a business trip on a eVisitor visa.

It's possible that by the time I go, the 457 visa will have been granted, but either way, this will be...

Re: Breaking News - 457 visa being abolished

Ouch, could be a turbulent few months then. Oh boy!

Edit: Although, I wonder if that relates to the occupation list, rather than the visa itself? That's what seems to be suggested elsewhere, but...

Re: Breaking News - 457 visa being abolished

Yes, we're in the process - though not that far into it, I don't think - need to check.

I was looking through the list Pollyana posted - and given it still mentions the 457 visa, my 'assumption'...
