I rang Training NSW to clarify the situation,there was little confusion with the visa numbers changing and getting funding, but im happy to say it as all been sorted out and he can get...

Yes its through an agency. One that hasn't a clue by the looks of it. Im going to try and ring the governing body for NSW apprenticeships Monday to see if they can clarify this.

When my son spoke with them they said he couldn't get funding because 176 visa was not on the list.
Im thinking thats because the visa class has changed and is now another subclass (maybe) fingers...

That clearly says with permanent residency which is what i thought.

Would it be likely they would give a 3 month visa ? They are coming over for a visit in july and i wouldnt want to aply too early and get the 3...

Im currently living in Sydney with my eldest son of 19 , my wife and youngest son are back in the UK whilst he finishes his GCSES.
