My parents now been granted PR, they plan to activate it within the next couple of months.
Just wondering what other documents they will need with them when they do the border crossing and...

Hi, I have received an email saying that my parents whom I am sponsoring for PR can now access the pre-arrival services.

I believe the 20-24 month time line is from the date the application is accepted. We are now at the stage that all the information has been collected, police checks and medicals have been completed....

Once your application for permanent residence has been forwarded to the Visa office in Ottawa for further processing, any idea how much longer it will take.

Hi, both my parents have completed there medical exams. However my father has been asked to have further tests carried out.
Just wondering if this is common practice or if we should be worried....

Notarized translation

My parents need a police certificate from Germany which they now have.
However it needs to be translated into English by a notarized translator.
I am struggling to find one, if anyone can help...

Thanks for your response. U.k is easy but South Africa may take longer than the 30 days we have been asked to submit by. What happens if we don't submit within the 30 day window?

They have been requested to go for a medical, I am just wanting to get and idea of what the time line would be between medicals and PR being granted.

It is my kids school that is asking for the proof of residency. The have said they have to have something on file for legal reasons.

I have the copy that was put in there passport but it has an "DATE OF VISA VALIDITY" as 25/April/2012

Our pr cards have just expired and we were not planning on renewing them as we have submitted our citizenship application and are not planning on travelling outside Canada. My children's school...
