Thanks, I've actually spoken to a couple of school boards in the mid West and they do hire foreign teachers for some subjects, one even got their assistant to go through licencing process with me....

My wife is also a teacher but as you say 2 visas in close proximity would be a tall order. Luckily she has extra income she could do remotely for extra cash if things are tight.

It sounds very much like the UK school system in that there can not be any deviation from the ruled and there are no grey areas.

That is encouraging. Do you mind me asking how many jobs you applied for? I've read all sorts of people saying it was 100s and the lack of Canadian work experience was a problem.

Could you argue that as it exempts you from the CPE then it is a professional entry degree. Effectively if you didn't have one the progression to a solicitor or barrister would be 2 years not 1....
