What confuses me is if you apply on the 5th December, and your visa expires on 5th Jan, what happens when inevitably the HO take longer than the 8 weeks outlined in their guidance to make a decision?...

Almost no communication with our process

Hello,

Applied priority from Rio, Brazil, on 10th Feb, Bio 23rd Feb. Everything scanned in the VFS center, nothing physical sent to Sheffield.

Email from Home Office saying it's been passed on...

This is actually good to hear, because the room in my parents house is 8m2 and apparently it needs to be 9m2, an inspection company told me. So if I don't have to get it done then great.

Yeah I've phoned up a few places - got quotes for £185 and then £130. They were specialist inspectors. Will try a few local estate agents today to see if I can get a lower price.
