I was under the impression that once you filed AOS you had to have an AP to travel outside the US. Leaving without having an AP to get back into the US would be considered abandoning your AOS...

No we didn't add them to the AOS package, but I do have the last 3 years now with W-2's and I'll be sure to make copies in case they want them at the interview.
