The current queue as of this morning is 40,000 applications apparently but I'm not sure how long that means they will take. Max 60 days is my guess and no idea how many have priority

Yeah that's what it seems, early October would be about right is my guess but you ever know you might get lucky as she told me today that they are sending staff from overseas to deal with the amount...

Oh that's annoying! My aunt works for the visa department in the UAE and apparently they are really short staffed at the moment and still a long wait. Seems like it was paid for almost nothing!

I didn't know we could use a scanning service at all. I spent £80 sending my wife the documents that I put together so she could add her passport etc and send them to Sheffield after her biometrics...

Ok thank you for the advice, she is coming here to visit for a week this Saturday. So when she goes back, then she changes her name, gets a new passport and other IDs etc then we apply for her visa...

Ok that makes sense thank you, yeah her last name on her birth certificate and on the marriage certificate match up. We were just worried about changing her name on her passport etc before she moves...

Thanks for the reply!

Just to be clear her last name must match that on her passport, marriage certificate and birth certificate? So they all have to be the same?
