I also read online that having a US Visa increases my chances, I have a Business/Visitor Visa(B1/B2) for the US and recently traveled there, so I want to visit the UK but want to get my savings back...

One of the Caribbean Islands which Britain had control of in the past, I don't think it matters which one exactly, what I do know is that we have a 6 month max stay in the UK just like US citizens.
