For what it's worth I'm in Ranco, there are a lot of Brits with a great atmosphere and social life. Near Khurais Rd. Not sure how much the 1bed units are but I think they are under SR100k.

Advice please....

I'm entering my first KSA Ramadan and still haven't settled on a holiday destination for the Eid break (yes I know I am late).

We've been home 3 times this year for family...

I moved into Ranco. Depending on where you need to be in the city, I think it's great. The homes offer good accommodation at a good price and the social life is fantastic.

Thanks for this great info, it's as if I'd asked the questions myself. I'm looking at compounds myself at the moment and I guess the key is negotiation, since they're clearly looking for tenants.

I've just arrived in Riyadh and don't even know where to start - so any advice is gladly accepted. In the same boat as this gent with a low-ish allowance. I need to be in the north or east...
