Should be fast now with no wep, just remember whatever start month you choose your actual first payment will be on the 3rd of the next month (if you choose Jan then your first payment is on 3rd Feb)....

Assuming DE is Germany, then you have no problem.

For tax purposes the date you actually received the money is what counts, the date on the transaction record does not count.
At the end of the day, as long as HMRC get paid they probably don't care...

My bank account total goes up by the amount shortly after midnight, but I do not see the actual individual transaction appear until later.

3rd Feb: Checked SS account online and I got the benefits verification letter – First payment for February will be deposited in my account on 3rd of March. Monthly payments on 3rd of month.

It is my understanding that no tax (PAYE) is taken from UK state pension payments.
It is also my understanding that any UK based work/private pension payments will have tax (PAYE) automatically...
