I also live in Bavaria, don't speak fluent Bavarian (!) and have been able to pick up jobs teaching business English. Most of the people who attend don't speak broad Bavarian, they speak standard...

The free health care is paid for by the NHS in the UK via the AOK so as long as you have made enough payments to the NHS to qualify you will get it.

The only thing I am wondering, is when you worked on the German net you might have forfeited the right to the NHS arrangement.

OK. I am in a similar position to you and at the moment am not paying anything for German health insurance, although as I said this is likely to change after Brexit. Have you spoken to the AOK about...

I have property both in England and in Germany. I have tried to make a will to cover both but could find no-one equipped to do it. I'm now thinking I might be able to make separate wills in the UK...

I'm working in German and am still learning after 3 years. I did a TESOL course, takes one month, and teach English as a second language to businesses.
