Re: TV licence exemption form?

Out of curiosity (and to try to help of course) I stuck the question in Chtgpt and it give this link (https://www.canone.rai.it/ordinari/ilcanoneordinari.aspx?utm_source=chatgpt.com).
It also had...

Re: Approaching retirement

I agree with philat98 , although renting adds cost, it could save you a great deal in the end.

Re: Any advice on family reunification visa?

Not that I would trust it alone, but putting a question like this in ChatGPT (without login :) ) comes up with too much detail for me to paste here... But this is a snippet of the common pitfalls it...

Re: Voluntary National Insurance top-up

Re: Voluntary National Insurance top-up

When I read it I took it they (again) realise the new pension from 2016 makes paying cl3 look a good bet and are therefore trying to stop/ cut back. Not too sure what they would do if someone moved...

Re: Voluntary National Insurance top-up

Around £5.80 I think, but that is against a cost for 1 year payment of around £900, so at £300 a year that is not bad a return if you are near retirement.
Modi I assume you have access to your...

Re: Voluntary National Insurance top-up

That surprises me little as paying conts after the 2016 with the new pension made it quite attractive with the changes that were made as it became legislation.

Re: Voluntary National Insurance top-up

I would suspect your only deadline will be 05Apr26 where the 6 year rule could kick in. I can't believe all of this is not done online yet and why they can't use your government login (if you have...

Re: Tech help: UK TV / casting

You can load VPN (not all, but I think Nord is one of the better ones) on to a router and get it to act as a vpn client to cover all your devices, including the tv. But to be honest I'm not too sure...

Re: Tech help: UK TV / casting

Solutions. Not used chromecast in an age, but have you tried starting the stream and then casting the tab only. Others are VPN that runs on a cheap router used as your wifi. Simplest and best if...

Re: Holiday Home in Passignano sul Trasimeno - Lago Trasimeno

Be aware the Italian housing market is nothing like the UK i.e. "we will just sell if we don't like it" may not work out .

Re: Double taxation on Italian State pension

Awful for you, really sorry to hear that.
Did you put your INPS claim in via DWP? If so I would try going back to them in writing asking them to pursue an appeal (you might be too late, but worth a...

Re: Italy moving advice

I would suggest you search on "elective residency Italy" , but this site here (https://nancygoestoitaly.com/moving-to-italy-info/) has some good detail on moving to Italy as a start. Perhaps looking...

Re: Spam phone calls

I wonder how they intend to try to enforce this? Great idea if you can do so without consequences, but the trouble is we are being forced into using IT that is too open to exploitation. Many...

Re: Spam phone calls

Perhaps they react to your answer? Or it is an automatic dialler of some sort and there is no one available to rip you off! Alternative is a bit more worrying i.e. they are simply looking for an...

Re: Trouble with the Fisco

Ah that sounds more feasible, perhaps this "Gary Stadele" is working in the area of information transfer with Italy and someone has the bank named incorrectly. At least this would be better than your...

Re: Trouble with the Fisco

Looking at warnings being made in this country about money laundering, I suspect it's the latest big crime on the rise. The name "Gary Stadele" is not too common and comes up with a few results...

Re: Trouble with the Fisco

Sounds very worrying, but perhaps just poor name matching on their part? To be honest I'm not too sure how I would do that here in the UK let alone with the Italian authorities. What originally came...
