Hmm I haven't so far questioned the idea of getting a mortgage, at least the following page says that work permit workers can get mortgage up to 80% loaned:

Ah update, it wasn't easy to get through the call center, but upon calling they claim that there is no page that claims 3 months (I'm guessing that page you linked to has been buried somewhere deep...

I started to fill in the online application to check for any red signs, and there it's even impossible to select 3 months, you can only select 59 days, "less than 6 months" or some other super long...
